Why do prescription bottles state to take them “by mouth?” Unless I’m supposed to take them some other way, I think it’s safe to assume it’s by mouth.

It does seem like repetition to say “take one tablet by mouth,” but the reasoning behind it is that some tablets can be dissolved sublingually (under the tongue) or stuck in other orifices. I think that it has become common practice to specify, just for the sake of specifying. I’m a Certified Pharmacy Technician, and I know that when I enter prescriptions into our computer, I always just type “1T;PO;QD” for one tablet by mouth daily. It’s just a force of habit to always add that “PO” to the sig code. More information then you wanted, I’m sure.

whether or not someone is “remembered for their bass skills,” you have to consider things in a timeframe also. there are certain people high on the list because they might have been given more play in current media or that they’re from your generation. everyone has influences and if we’re talking ‘best,’ I think some history needs to come into play.

I’d like to see where the basis of this argument has stemmed from. Even though my band has no bass guitar, I love bass lines.

P.S. Flea of The Red Hot Chili Peppers impressed a lot of musicians with his popping and slapping technique which was originally invented by Larry Graham of Sly And The Family Stone (and I by no means consider myself an expert on bass playing, I just know what I like)
