Oh c’mon with the David and Goliath stuff, really. I mean, Hamas right-out says it wishes all Jews death. Hamas right-out says the only peace they would accept would be Israel’s end. They don’t recognize Israel’s right to exist. And they violated a cease-fire, causing cities in Southern Israel to live in constant fear of attack, with real rockets, that Hamas hides among women and children. They hide their rockets among women and children. Do you realize that this means that all those automatic anti-missile weapons would be set to blow up women and children? This sucks, Hamas should say okay, let’s have a ceasefire. Hamas should say, okay, we will recognize your right to exist. Rooting for David?! And which army but Israel would ever be told, oh come on boys, you have the big guns, this isn’t a fair fight! The US? Can you imagine? And what would the US response be if some group was shooting rockets into say, Florida? Would they say please cut that out? War sucks, I really believe that and want it all to end. But to paint it as David and Goliath is misleading. Hamas took over the Gaza Strip via violent bloody removal of their rival group Fatah, by the way, just so you know a little about the David you’re rooting for. Sorry, but I too am a little disturbed by all the anti-Israel stuff I’m seeing everywhere. Hamas should and could end the deaths of all these innocents by honoring a cease-fire, and by ending the smuggling of more weapons into the region. IMHO, of course….

That sounds like you might be willing to advocate, in the event of a bank robbery or other significant ccrime the police take hostages and shoot them one at a time until the bank robbers surrender. Because your rationale and logic is identical.
I’m glad that the certainty of your opinion justifies the slaughter of innocent women and children, or at the very least, to allow them to serve as collateral damage. Congratulations.
settle the fuck down. no one said they were “pleased” by any of this shit, but to solely and squarely place blame on Israel is naive and simplistic and is to ignore a world of reality out there.
You obviously didn’t read all of what I wrote. I made it clear that the state of Israel (with it’s unique history, etc.) was not to blame. What I did say was that innocent civilians are being killed and that such a situation is unacceptable (or at least should be) on any level. This is not to say Israel doesn’t have an argument that Hamas started it by firing missiles into Israel or that Israel doesn’t have a right to defend herself. The response is not proportional, as it has killed inncoent civilians, and that should be unacceptable to any fair thinking person.
this just proves a point in my mind, that just as people have a right to post whatever they want on here, people also have a right to post their opinions about posts. don’t get it twisted and please stop and think that maybe what one person has the guts to write is what a lot of other people might be thinking too.
